Indian House Lake - Photo Album R

Our progress north was slowed by Indian House Lake. The lake stretches 50 miles between the upper and lower sections of the George River. After the long paddle through Smallwood Reservoir, Indian House Lake was not a welcome sight save the scenary and wildlife we spotted along its shores, such as the black bear pictured above. The northern lights and the view of the lake we got from a barren hilltop were nice rewards for the day we spent windbound.
